Postcards from Venus March 2, 2006

The Planetary Society announced winners to their “Postcards from Venus” art contest. Their are some really cool images in their online gallery. These aritists span all age groups and some of them are really talented.
Check out the online gallery here. That’s the winner, up above.
The contest is meant to coincide with the European Space Agency’s Venus Express orbiter, which is scheduled for an April 11 rendevous with the cloud-shrouded planet.
