I am in that reflective on pop culture mode right now, so to continue. I adore Bob Dylan, since I discovered his music at the impressionable age of 15, thanks to the credits at the end of 1979’s More American Graffiti and “Like A Rolling Stone.” Here’s 1963’s “A Hard Rain’s A-Gonna Fall:” (more…)

Song lyrics from The Secret Machines. Their album, "Ten Silver Drops" is out in the U.S. now so as a break I post these lyrics. I have been thinking a lot about violent sports so in lieu of a regular post . . .

Who killed Davey Moore,
Why an’ what’s the reason for?

“Not I,” says the referee,”
Don’t point your finger at me.
I could’ve stopped it in the eighth
An’ maybe kept him from his fate,
But the crowd would’ve booed, I’m sure,
At not gettin’ their money’s worth.
It’s too bad he had to go,
But there was a pressure on me too, you know.
It wasn’t me that made him fall.
No, you can’t blame me at all.”

Invisible man? Sleeping in your bed?

Who you gonna call?

(Ray Parker Jr.) Err . . . I mean Ghostbusters?

I heard about this crappy fan film called Return of the Ghostbusters and it made me angry, well maybe not angry, let’s just say off-put, because I have always wanted to see a third installment of “Ghostbusters.” What a horrible tease, Return of the Ghostbusters, pfft. (more…)

The Strokes have a new album due out in January. I think these lyrics for “On the Other Side” are correct, if you see any mistakes let me know.
UPDATE: posted lyrics to Ask Me Anything below these, if you found them congrats, again they may or may not be correct. These are only as good as my source, which isn’t the best journalistically but damn it I want to post some Strokes lyrics. (more…)

A friend of mine tipped me to this hilarious piece of legislation in the Idaho state house which thanks the writers and producers of Napoleon Dynamite. Pretty funny stuff. Make sure you scroll down far enough to read the text of the resolution, especially the parts that have “whereas” flying fast and furious. (more…)
