It’s global warming, stupid July 28, 2006Posted by dr. gonzo in Enivronmental Issues, Science.
I highly recommend that everyone watch Global Warming: What You Need to Know. This amazing program aired on The Science Channel last night. Hosted by Tom Brokaw, the show sheds light on the mass of scientific evidence pointing to human initiated global climate change. (more…)
Every couple years, since 2001, I have made the long drive to Pennsylvania, first to Pittsburgh and then on north to an area just south of Jamestown, New York. The heart of the Allegheny Mountains and right smack dab in the middle of the Allegheny National Forest. Truly one of the most amazing places on Earth. A place that I last visited in the spring of 2005.

I wanted to blog about something more substantial than some old poems but the only thing I could find was that the drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge had passed the House.
Intrigued, I wanted to find the text of the legislation.
But the text of the legislation doesn’t mention anything about Alaska, except for some Air Force operational appropriations.
I assumed these were amendments to the Defense Appropriations Bill, stuff concerning not only ANWR but also disaster relief for those affected by Hurricane Katrina. (more…)
