Clearly clerihew June 26, 2006

Okay, some more poetry. I have just been messing around a lot lately with different styles and such. The reason I like the Clerihew is that they are freaking easy. No counting syllables (which I loathe–who thought of that crap anyway?), rhythm is irrelevant. All that is required is four lines, the first two and last two rhyme and it starts (usually) with a person’s name. Oh yeah, and it’s supposed to be funny. (more…)

I keep wanting to post, but I have nothing. There are a couple things in the pipeline but they aren’t done.

Discovery go for launch June 22, 2006

The Space Shuttle Discovery is go for a July 1 launch. This decision is far from routine, the last launch, about a year ago was shrouded in controversy, resulting in unscheduled EVA (Extra Vehicular Activity) to repair a problem with the ship’s heat shield. (more…)
